Seed the Future Today! Settling
East of the River Expanding our ability to Develop disciples of Jesus Christ who love God and love their neighbors |
At long last, after years of prayer and searching, we found a home building for our church in spring 2010! Our new building, located at 4339 Hunt Place in Washington DC’s 7th Ward, is a thrilling answer to prayer. We envisioned it as a place of worship and a gathering point for the neighborhood that will allow us to expand our outreach ministries. We moved in on a rent-to-own basis, and our biggest financial need is money towards a down payment on the purchase of the building. Inspired by the church garden planted by our youth in spring of 2010, we named it the SEED campaign. Testimonies
JANELLE Through our ministries we aim to support one person or family at a time. One example is Janelle, who began attending Peace with her family as a middle schooler. She participated faithfully in Teen Bible Study and was mentored by two women in the church, eventually electing to become a member and be baptized. This year, we were proud to send her off to college, where she has earned high marks and found both a Bible study and church home.
Our new building will allow us to reach more people like Janelle in new and exciting ways. |
